I am based in Erin Mills, specifically around the Ridgeway Drive area, right near Ridgeway Plaza. When you call me for car trouble in this neighbourhood, you are not getting someone who has to plan a 45-minute drive before they can help you. I am 2 minutes away. I drive these streets every single day.
Most mobile mechanics in the GTA will tell you they "serve Mississauga." In practice, that means they are in Brampton or Etobicoke and heading your way in 45 minutes if you're lucky. I am not that. If you are in Erin Mills, I am the closest mobile mechanic you will find, and it is not close.
I have been doing this long enough to know exactly why cars break down in this area. It is not random.
Ridgeway Plaza parking lot. That plaza has over 70 restaurants and draws hundreds of cars on any given evening. People park for 2, 3 hours while they eat. Batteries that were borderline when they arrived are dead when they come back. Starters that were already struggling give up in a cold parking lot. It happens constantly, and until now, those people had no good option close by.
The 407/403 interchange. It is right beside the plaza. Highway on-ramps and off-ramps mean hard braking, fast acceleration, constant speed changes. I see more suspension wear, more brake jobs, and more stress-related failures from drivers who run that interchange daily than from almost anywhere else in my service area.
Dense condo and townhome population. Erin Mills is built heavily around condos and townhouses. A lot of residents do not have a driveway, they have a visitor parking spot or a surface lot. They cannot use a traditional shop easily because getting the car there requires it to run. A mobile mechanic coming to the parking lot is the only practical option.
Credit Valley Hospital is nearby. Nurses, PSWs, and healthcare workers on rotating shifts cannot afford to lose a car for three days while a shop squeezes them in. When their shift ends and the car will not start, they need someone fast and reliable. That is the call I get a lot from this part of Mississauga.

Yes. Most surface parking and visitor lots work perfectly fine. Erin Mills is mostly condos and townhomes, this is my bread and butter. Underground parkades depend on the specific job, but the majority of what I do works in outdoor lots with no issues.
