When does my warranty actually end?

Three things decide it, and none of them is the model year: the day the first owner took delivery, the kilometre cap, and the Canadian terms for your brand, which are not the American numbers that circulate online. Pick your car and get the real answer, plus what tends to fail right after it.

This date starts every warranty clock. Usually the model year itself, sometimes the year before or after. It is printed on your original paperwork.
Rounding is fine. The caps are what matter.

Estimates use the standard Canadian program for each brand, counted from the in-service date you picked, with the kilometre cap projected from your driving rate. Exact terms vary by model year and purchase date, and your warranty booklet is always the final word. Extended warranties, certified pre-owned coverage and manufacturer campaigns are separate and can outlive these dates. The rules themselves: you do not need dealer service to keep coverage.
